Caribbean beaches have always been considered the ideal place to have the holiday of a lifetime , with the idyllic imaginary photograph of a deck chair, white sand, palm trees and the deep blue sea as a frame. Not surprisingly, this area has some of the most spectacular beaches in the world.
The Caribbean offers a complex and heterogeneous branching of nations linked by central american culture. In this context, large countries with vast territory and big population - like Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela- shake hands with uninhabited tiny islands and lslets. But it is not only culture which unites these nations, but also the beauty of their beaches.
Regarding this universe of continental Caribbean beaches, we must mention the beaches in Colombia and Venezuela, with relevant coastal landmarks like San Andrés in Colombia and Los Roques in Venezuela.
As far as islands are concerned, it would be unfair to choose one as the best. But if we have to mention some, travelling from noth to south, Bahamas beaches shine with their own splendour.
Nearer South America, we find Dominique beaches and Saint Lucia beaches, all of which are tiny islands with awesome ecosystems that will amaze the most experienced traveller.
The best way of visiting the Caribbean Sea is probably on a cruise ship where you can travel to different countries without worrying about the stressful airports and hotels. And if you are the adventurous type, you may prefer to carry your rucksack around and travel by boat from island to island.
So, no matter what means of transport you choose, the Caribbean is surely the place to enjoy the holidays of a lifetime!
