The vast and enigmatic Asian continent has lots of attractions for the tourist, based on its cultural diversity, rich history, natural landscapes and of course, its spectacular beaches.
It's difficult to describe the Asian beaches in general, because with such diverse countries and with such a heterogeneous geography, there are barely any unifying factors for the Asian beaches, with the exception of their shocking beauty. Among the different Asian regions, the Asian Southeast stands out because of its coastal beauty. And particularly in that area of the continent, the Thai beaches are surely the most famous for their natural beauty and their daring night attractions.
Places like Phi Phi or Phucket are internationally renowned thanks to several Hollywood movies that have been shot there, like "The Beach", with Leonardo Di Caprio, or some of the most popular James Bond movies. Following this line of international prestige, the Indonesian beaches, with the Bali Island as a leader, have acquired international fame as a destination that combines spectacular water, sand and a quite busy nightlife. One of the nirvanas of world diving is here: the Bunaken Marine Park. The same happens with some of the best Philippines beaches.
Without so much hype and with wilder features, the Cambodian and Vietnamese beaches are known for the wild of their surroundings. Also, the Malaysian, and Japanese beaches are worth mentioning.
To all the continental places we've mention, we need to add the countless amount of islands on the seas that surround Asia. For instance, the beaches of the Maldives Islands, which are comprised of 1,196 islands, offering a spectacular sun, palm trees and water haven.
Asia is an astonishing beach destination, with the emerald green waters, and where amazing mountains and volcanic islands are combined with lost islands and more popular beaches with varied options for nightlife. To this formula, you can add the hospitality of the locals and the Asian luxury, based on neverending commodities these countries offer their visitors. Traditionally, for western tourists the costs could be high, but in some of these countries (Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia) the cost of life is relatively low, which offsets the transportation costs.
So whether it's the popular Thailand beaches or the deserted Vietnamese coasts, the fabulous Indonesian islands or the Maldive Islands, or the unknown beaches of China, in search of activity or tranquility, what are you waiting for? Get to know the best Asian beaches!
